Why use Curiosity as a clipboard manager?
Curiosity works as a clipboard manager to keep track of items that you have copied on your computer.
Connecting your clipboard to Curiosity lets you:
- Save things you copied for later (text, links, images)
- Search your clipboard
- Quickly copy-paste from your clipboard history with the Command bar

How to connect your clipboard
|| 💡 The clipboard manager is supported on Mac and Windows, but not on all Linux distributions.
To search your clipboard with Curiosity, you need to enable it under Preferences:
- On the left bar, click the cog (⚙️) icon to open
Preferences - In the left sidebar for Preferences, click
Clipboard - Use the dropdown to select
Enabled - (optional) Choose how long your clipboard entries are saved using the dropdown
Curiosity will start saving your clipboard entries.

Notes
- You can choose for how long the entries should be saved from the cog (⚙️) icon next to
Clipboardon the left bar of the app. - Curiosity only starts saving your clipboard entries when you connect it, so it may be empty when you first view it.
- Curiosity for clipboard currently supports text, links, and images (in beta).

How to copy a clipboard entry

Using the Command bar
To copy an entry from your clipboard using the Command bar:
- Press
Alt + Space(Windows) or⌥ + Space(Mac) to open the Command Bar - Type ´<´ to filter for clipboard results (you can also type the word
clipboardand hitTab) - Select the item you want with the arrow keys and hit
Enterto copy it (or click on it with the mouse)
Curiosity will copy the selected entry.

Using the full app
To copy an entry from your clipboard in the full app:
- Click on
Clipboardin the left sidebar - Copy a result by clicking on it with the mouse, or by selecting with the arrow keys and hitting
Enter
Curiosity will copy the selected entry.

How to delete clipboard entries

How to delete an individual clipboard entry from Curiosity
If you copy something to the clipboard that you don't want in Curiosity (e.g. a password), the app lets you delete that one entry.
To delete an individual entry from Curiosity:
- On the left bar, hover your mouse over
clipboardand click the cog (⚙️) icon - Right-click on the entry you want to delete (or hover and press
Tab) and selectdeletefrom the menu
Your clipboard entry will be removed.

How to delete all clipboard entries from Curiosity
To clear all clipboard entries from Curiosity:
- On the left bar, hover your mouse over
clipboardand click the cog (⚙️) icon - Click
Clear history
All clipboard entries will be removed from Curiosity.

How to disconnect the clipboard
To disconnect the clipboard and stop using Curiosity as a clipboard manager:
- On the left bar, click the cog (⚙️) icon to open
Preferences - Scroll down to the section
Features - Click the toggle next to
Clipboardto switch it off - Decide whether to keep or remove existing entries
Curiosity will stop saving results from your clipboard.
