# Why use in-app Notes with Curiosity?

Curiosity works as a notepad to make it easy for you to capture your thoughts and remarks.

Using Notes with Curiosity lets you:

  • Quickly save your ideas
  • Search for your notes later with Curiosity
  • Attach your notes directly to docs, emails etc.

# How to activate Notes

To activate Notes with Curiosity, you need to enable it under Preferences:

  1. On the left bar, click the cog (⚙️) icon to open Preferences
  2. Scroll down to the section Features
  3. Click the toggle next to Notes to activate it

Curiosity will start saving your notes on the left menu, under Notes.

# How to create a note

To add a new note with Curiosity:

  1. Hit Alt + Space to open the Command bar
  2. Type New Note and press Enter

Alternatively, you can add a new note directly from the app:

  1. On the left bar, hover your mouse over Notes and click the + symbol

| 💡 Your notes are saved automatically.


# How to delete a note

To delete a note from Curiosity:

  1. On the left bar of the app, open Notes
  2. Right-click on the note you want to delete (or hover and press Tab) and select Delete from the menu

Your note will be removed.


# How to switch off Notes

To stop using Notes with Curiosity:

  1. On the left bar, click the cog (⚙️) icon to open Preferences
  2. Scroll down to the section Features
  3. Click the toggle next to Notes to switch it off

This will not remove existing notes from Curiosity, but they'll only be visible once you enable Notes again.
