# How to Open the AI Assistant with a Shortcut

To use the AI Assistant in Curiosity with a shortcut:

Use the Alt + Space shortcut (Windows) or ⌥ + Space (Mac) to open the Command Bar
Type AI Assistant and hit Tab to select (Hint: you don't need to type the full words, you can already select it when it appears on the menu as you type)
Talk to the AI Assistant from there to generate and re-write ideas and texts, generate code, get translations, summaries and much more.
Hit Enter after you write your command and see the magic happen.
